Thorn is the reliable one. He takes survival training when he comes of age, helps his parents, and fosters a good relationship with his little sister Twig. So when his parents are taken by something old as time or young as a single breath and the tree he called home was destroyed, he continues to be as reliable as possible. He and Twig embark on a journey to find them, but soon Thorn is engulfed in something he only ever dreamed about, a feud found and lost in the stories.
Twig has aways been the little sister. A smart one sure, but still just the little sister following behind.
She doesn't mind or hold grudges, she relies on him almost as much as on their parents. Thorn is great, and helps her learn. He cares about her, and life is good. But then the tree that their village was in and on was destroyed, and everything she knows flipped on its head and cast out the window. Something in her begins the barest of stirrings and soon a small piece of magic grows big. They are plunged into magic thought to be lost long ago, as light shines in Twig and something sinister follows Thorn. But is that all that's happening?
Twig thinks there is more to it then that, and she is pretty smart after all...
Pine has always been the eccentric, sweet, village kid. (In his opinion, more like the Village dumbass) but he is more than that. Okay, sure, he is an eccentric, sweet, smartish dumbass. But he is cloaked in mystery and magic of his own as well.
He can hear the music of the soul and can spin sound to his will. Much like light magic, except he just so happens to be an excellent judge of character. (this is my own work, and my first time posting anything I've written. Pls enjoy!)

Many centuries ago, an unspoken darkness swept across the land taking all that was light and pure in the world with it. Creatures of this darkness roamed free to spread the darkness wherever they went consuming any trace of light remaining. In order to stop The Darkness from controlling the world, a group of priests took the remaining pieces of light and placed them within the body of two chosen children. They became known as the Children of the Light. Their sacrifice was not in vain, leaving behind spoken words for the next generation of children born with the pure light energy within them. Over time an organisation built on these words was formed called The Guardians, who were tasked to seek out the next chosen children and protect them from The Darkness should it rise again. Centuries have come and gone as the battle between the light and the darkness still rages on, unaware of the human race that creatures live among them and that a battle between them and the guardians has gone on for many years. Present day we find ourselves in a small city named New Haeven that has become the centre of the secret world of light and dark. The current story follows a Guardian by the name of Ronin. The story continues on with Ronin seeking answers from the Elders about how a Guardian could come back from the dead.

In a world where magical creatures and humans intermix, there are two types of magic and two types of people. Dark magic and light magic. Good people and evil people. Our main character is going to learn that your powers do not define who you are as a person. Arion Griffin lives in a society where people with light magic are 'good' and people with dark magic are 'bad'. He comes from a long line of dark magic. Unfortunately, this causes many problems for his social life since his family's reputation precedes him and makes it so no one will talk with him. He is worried it will make his greatest fear come true. He is terrified he is on the path to becoming evil like his parents. Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. He makes friends and learns that just because he has dark magic, doesn't mean he is evil. *Idk if this is actually a good story but I had a lot of fun writing it! :) *This story has been edited

Most impressive rank: 1 - Fairytale *** Casey is all alone in the werewolf world, the only family she has left is her crazy dad. her mum died of cancer, causing her dad to go crazy and start beating Casey. What's worse is that she can't get away from the violence because when she goes to school they do the same. *** I close my eyes so I could listen and smell everything in case this was the last time I would ever be in this beautiful forest. I chase away any bad or worried thoughts because this place seemed so sacred it did not allow them. I breath in and catch the sweet scent of lavender flowers that speckled the ground in little clumps and the dry smell of dirt that hadn't been rained on in a couple of day. I listen to the steady titters of birds as they fly from tree to tree, collecting little twigs and leaves to build their nests with. I listen to the buzz of the bees greedily feasting on the flowers that scattered around the dry forest floor. I open my eyes to take in the scenery, rays of sunlight filter through the green canopy, penetrating through the leaves and casting a green-yellow effulgence over the ground that wavers as the trees rustle in the light whispers of wind. The crunching of dry leaves under my feet alert me so I cast my eyes to the floor and watch as I step on each individual leaf and dry twig, enjoying the snapping sounds that echo through the near silent forest. Gnarly roots dip into ground and twisted branches reach down, fingers grasping the air, as if reaching for me and I shiver, thinking of my father. I cast my eyes up to think of something else and instantly calm as another puff of breeze rustles the leaves on the trees and ground gently. I look ahead and notice the steady thinning of the old trees and run towards it, loving the feeling of the air in my air and clothes. I spot what I think is light dancing on waters surface and sprint for it. Then I break through the trees, making it to the lake.

It's been five years since Kai's life was completely turned upside down, but he is extremely grateful for the things that have happened. The deaths not included, things have changed for the better. Kai feels that if those men and Thorn hadn't showed up at his home, Abby wouldn't be his girlfriend, Chase wouldn't be his best friend, Shintaro wouldn't be an amazing "therapist" (as Chase calls it) to Kai, Linda wouldn't be like a mother to him, Gabriel wouldn't be the funny-in-his-own-antisocial-way friend (he had his own home in the town, so he often visited), and Kai wouldn't be as close to his father has he is now. Kai is actually enjoying his new life in this strange town. The village is "ruled" by a young woman named Ruby, and everyone there adores her for being such a great leader. Kai has only met her once or twice, but she seems very nice. But there is something prickling at the back of Kai's mind, and it unsettles him greatly. Ever since Moon vanished after killing Luke, she hasn't been spotted anywhere. Kai often wonders if she is somewhere far from where they are now, planning her next attack. When a series of strange events start happening around the town, Kai is certain that Moon is back and playing her game with them. In a way, he is right. But there are many things that he is also wrong about. During the midst of it all, Shintaro gets captured, sending Kai down a path of despair and hopelessness. He feels responsible for getting Shintaro back, but he doesn't know what he's up against. Thankfully, his friends don't let him do it by himself. As always, they have his back. And soon, new friends are there behind him, too. The group finds that Moon is behind all of this, but she isn't doing it for herself. She has Shintaro for a certain reason, and the friends are soon to find out what is at stake. The lives of others, including loved ones.

I'm a freak, but I've got the God-given sense to know to keep it a secret that I can use magic to lose some things and to find other things. As magic goes, it totally sucks, especially since I can't control it. I couldn't use it to find my brother and save him from a serial killer. So what good is it that I can lose a shoe and find a hubcap? Some people do think I'm extra special, though. I don't know how they found out about me, but the Stone Men and their Black Dogs are after me every chance they get. It's their job to keep magic a secret and make you think the world is normal. The Glass Man's out to get me, too. He's just out to make everybody his psycho slave. There's a war coming between Stone and Glass, and I'm right in the middle. But this war isn't just about hidden magic and humans. When you're a little kid, your parents tell you that there isn't any such thing as monsters. Well, they're lying. Some monsters want to offer you a deal, and some, well, some just might end up your best friend. Others, they just want to eat you.
