History and Location
Pawana Lake was created during the 1960s as a result of the Pawna Dam Project. The dam was constructed to supply water to the neighboring areas of Lonavala, Pune, and Mumbai. The lake is situated at an altitude of 1,370 feet above sea level, covering an area of 10 square kilometers.
