A lot of times life doesn't end up the way people picture it. Ashton had always accepted he wouldn't have kids. He had Gabi, and enough family to keep him happy- until he was told he would be a good dad and couldn't shake the thought.

PREQUEL TO SERENDIPITY A new home meant a new identity was possible. New friends, new clothes, hell even a new name. You had to expect the unexpected, and simply hope whoever was looking after you would understand. That wasn't always the case, but some homes were simply better than others.
