Emmaline was a normal girl. Well, at least, she seemed to be a normal girl. At school, she had friends, got great grades, what could be wrong? Oh yeah, at home, she was beaten, abused, and tormented by her family. Her mother forced her to do everything: cook, clean, laundry, dishes, everything. Her father practically ignored her, sometimes noticing her to hit her, but nothing else. There was also her sibling. Her older brother. Ryder was twenty, but he still lived at home as he went to the local college. Every night he would abuse her. Hit her, kick her, beat her until she passed out. She blamed herself. She punished herself every night after she wakes up from the beating. She self-harms, she cuts, she starves herself.
What happens when something else starts to happen?
Emmy, as she is called, feels like someone is watching her. Constantly. She then starts to receive texts from a private number. What was happening? Emmy often wondered. How is it possible that a stalker could be more caring than a family?

Her brows furrowed. "You look like you have something specific you wanna ask me." The tips of Liam's ears turned red at Emma's very accurate observation. "I, uh...
