An inn in the town of Beriith is enjoying the season's peak with customers drinking it dry every day. Winter is coming and many curious travelers come retreating from the dangerous West. Even though the patrons are used to weird in their city, a night comes that surprises every last one of them. This night a guest known to everyone but seen by none before makes his way to the tavern to strike a deal with a pair of head huntresses. The familiar banter and gossip suddenly change as the whole pub tries to figure out the stranger's intentions.

'Unexpected Customer' is a short story from the series 'Stories from the Troubled Land'. Tales of different genres and themes from a large peninsula, where troubles range from lost chickens to lost kings.
