As Y/N and Jack trudged through the forest, the thick canopy overhead filtered the sunlight, casting dappled shadows on the ground. The sound of their footsteps on the forest floor echoed in the otherwise silent woods. Despite the ominous nature of their surroundings, Y/N felt a strange sense of calm being there with Jack.
"Jeez, Jack," Y/N hummed playfully, breaking the silence. She glanced up at him, a small smile tugging at her lips. "We've been walking forever. You must really like the woods?"
Jack turned his head slightly, his expression hidden behind his mask, but she could sense a lightness in his demeanor. "You could say I'm a nemophilist," he replied, his voice carrying a hint of amusement.
"A what?" Y/N tilted her head in confusion, her brow furrowing. The unfamiliar word caught her off guard. She gave a dry laugh. "Didn't expect you to pull out the college words."
Jack's shoulders shook with a laugh of his own, a rare sound that softened the air between them. "Maybe you're too dumb to understand my big words," he teased, shrugging casually as if it was no big deal.
Y/N rolled her eyes, but her smile widened. "Oh, please. I'll have you know I'm smarter than I look."
"Debatable," Jack shot back, his tone playful.(CC) Alıf-Gayriticari-Türetilemez
