They came in May, falling from the sky like silver hail. Phoenix was the first to go, and from then they slowly invaded the rest of the world, murdering and kidnapping whatever human life they could get their bony hands on. The world fell within two months time, and continued to crumble in the hands of what we weren't prepared for.
Ever since The End four months ago, Raelyn has been alone. She and her dog Oscar have been doing their best to survive on their own in San Diego. She's been doing her best to stay off the Aliens' radar, doing her best not to get in their way. But when a strange boy and his sister cross Raelyn's path with the Aliens hot on their trail, can she stick with her strategy of isolation?

She plans to live a simple boring life, possibly until death comes for her, but is that what she really wants. She does prefer looking at things through a more positive lens, so things like her debilitating health conditions seem to slip her by. Eating less food could only be a good thing right? Well, soon she would learn, not only to take better care of herself, but also to love. An experience she has yet to discover, until her lingering eyes fall far too long on one particular girl. ~~~~~ Wendy was the sweetest girl alive, with simply no one to share the overwhelming stream of love she had to share. When a storm hits her town, she's locked inside, desperate and alone for what seems to be an eternity. But unbeknownst to her, this would bring her closer to love than ever before. Marissa was getting over her past trauma, and only games could ever do that for her. During yet another month of locking herself up in her room, she found someone who was different, a light through the darkness that was her life, an angel, to save her tortured soul from damnation. At least, that's how she might phrase it. ---------------------------- The title was chosen years ago, so I decided to leave it be and combine these two stories. This will be a moderate length mini story for the two couples, exploring their journeys which happen at completely separate times. These are the untold stories of our side characters from my other book's shared universe, but reading those two books are not exactly necessary to enjoy this one. Devon Blake and the Starship Crash
DEVON BLAKE is a lonely boy of twelve, trapped in the lap of luxury with no one but his smart-luggage Sammy to share it with. He prepares for his summer trip, excited by the prospect of meeting new friends and sharing an adventure with them. The expedition to the lush planet Forrestal looks even more exciting to Devon when he meets some of his fellow travelers; Flim, an alien boy with chameleon-like powers, and Jacinda, a bright girl whose trip is paid for by the foundation Devon’s family owns. Becoming friends during the voyage to Forrestal, the trio learns to get along despite their diverse backgrounds. The trouble begins during the descent to the surface of Forrestal. Due to an unexplained atmospheric disturbance, the shuttle crashes, trapping all of the children and their injured guide on the surface with no way to contact the starship in orbit. Taking matters in hand, Devon, Flim, Jacinda and another new friend, Merrell, set out to investigate their situation. The unthinkable happens when a quake traps them outside of the shuttle and Flim goes missing. Setting off in search of their friend, Devon, Jacinda and Merrell encounter strange creatures that seem to be part of the forest itself. Quickly learning how to communicate with these alien, the children discover that there are bigger problems on Forrestal than a crashed shuttle. The children learn that outlaw humans are mining the planet illegally and in the process are destroying the alien ecology. Unknown to the trio, Flim has been staying hidden and following them, hoping to find a chance to help them escape for the alien creepers. While not giving up their search for Flim, Devon, Jacinda and Merrell vow to help the alien creepers. The creepers lead them to the outlaws. The three devise a plan to stop the outlaws, but encounter danger when caught by them. After all the people have gatherd in his home the minster warns them that they must leave Charolette and go further inland because the ocean will soon flood. The minister and a young boy named Dylan become close as the days pass on the long and sometimes difficult journey. Dylan is slowly and reluctantly becoming the leader of the group. As his role grows more important his growing love for Sarah a girl in the group his own age becomes more challenging. When they arrive in a new community and join with other survivors the scope of the damage to the earth is realized and the people find themselves as center of the the final war, the war between heaven and hell. This new community must do everything they can to defend themselves from the onsaulght of satan's army. In-between battles Dylan struggles with is unrealized love of Sarah and the battles he faces with his own inner demons as well as the demons that visit him at his weakest moments tempeing him to turn on those he sworn to protect.Terminé
