Melanie Santos is going through a quarter life crisis. She's lost the one thing anchoring her to California and upon realizing she has no idea what to do without it, she up and runs to the farthest corner of the world she can. Escapism is her favorite form of coping, and what better to do than jet off to a tiny island and forget about the real world? Charles is at the peak of his career, contracted to drive for Ferrari but experiencing difficulties holding faith in the racing powerhouse's ability to carry him to a championship. Frustrated at his performances from the past season, he seeks his refuge in solitude. With a plane ticket and the ultimate goal to relax, he's determined to make the most of his winter break. Looking for answers, the two stumble into each other on Réunion Island and the fateful encounter changes their lives forever.
