Nholn, a world like any other, is one of many in the entirety of the Cosmos that support life. It is now playing host to a number of beings that govern the multiverse. They watch the world as the inhabitants of Nholn slaughter each other, lie and steal to satisfy their greed. They observed the actions of the people. 

The people were judged, and found wanting. 

But Nholn was given a gift. A gift of creatures of destruction, monsters of any forms. They gave Nholn the true and tried solution given to all troubled worlds, a common enemy to band together for the very sake of their survival.
