"Hey, Kunikuzushi," Kazuha mumbled, his words slurring together with fatigue. "What does... being human mean to you?"

"Right now, I think being human is..." the harbinger paused. "You know, when you put a cold towel to your face and it turns warm against your skin. How about you?"

"To me, being... human is the moment between every breath you take," He started to doze off, but Scaramouche noticed the small trembling of his limbs and tapped Kazuha on the shoulder.

"Wait," he insisted. "Come over here. You must be cold."

"Oh, okay..." Kazuha found himself wrapped in a warm embrace. "That's nice of you. And I suppose it'll be fine, there's no one watching anyway..."

Scaramouche couldn't bring himself to tell the male how wrong he really was.

Story recap: On a late afternoon, a young adolescent boy was roaming the streets of the small island of Ritou. This boy was heading towards his favourite spot to watch the sunset as the crimson maple leaves slowly fell at the foot of the trees, a marvellous sight, you see.. but arriving there, he is met with an even prettier surprise, a long silky haired ravenette sitting there alone, watching the sun slowly sink down the ocean. He sat down Alongside Him, and there, their adventure began.

The only one that doesn't judge by looks is Kazuha. They become close, almost inseparable. The vision hunt decree forces the boy to flee. When they reunite again, it's at the start of a war. And more than that, they are no longer young boys training together. They are a Fatui Harbinger and a samurai. Scaramouche has little time left to tell his story before the battle starts.
