Marnie had a theory: everything in life can be managed with a set of rules.

Emotions are nothing but a combination of chemical reactions in the brain--a process that can be replicated, simulated under controlled environments.

Like the STEM grad that she is, she set out to proving this hypothesis, with herself as the guinea pig. And someone else who's willing to participate. Who that someone else is, must be chosen with care. She had to be very, very careful.

Because if her hypothesis fails, she might just fall into pieces, along with her theories.
