The kingdom of Istamid is under the tyrannical rule of dragons, but there are still places where the dragons' presence isn't felt so strongly. One such place is the mountain village of Arlow. However, the residents of the village have problems of their own.

Namely, the violent snowstorms. Everyone aside from Rhenor seems to think that they will blow over and that they just have to wait it out, but Rhen suspects there is something more going on. His concerns fall on deaf ears until a stranger named Kaz shows up at his door, who not only believes Rhen, but also reveals an even bigger threat looming over Arlow-earthquakes.

Despite Rhen's reservations about how Kaz knows this, the two embark on a quest to put a stop to whatever is causing all of this and save Arlow before it becomes nothing but rubble.

Suddenly everything he knew changed in an instant. One day he receives a mysterious letter from an unknown sender with information about his mother. After answering the letter, he not only drags himself but those around him into an ancient mystery long forgotten. In this ancient world of swords and arrows, there are those who can call upon the powers of the elements. These elemental users are named Callers. Callers can create a flash of fire with a snap of their fingers while others can mold the earth to their will. Kota was not born with the power to call upon the elements but that does not mean he is not a capable fighter. Kota, including his allies, get entangled in a plot that is orchestrated by an enemy that is smart as they are deadly. Those who who stand with him will have to use more than metal and callings to fight a mysterious foe that threatens everything they know. _______________________ Beyond Soul & Fate Series _______________________ The Beyond Soul & Fate Series is an Epic Fantasy adventure that will explore the soul of the world in which they live, as well as; diving deeper into the fate of those who choose to take a stand against this unknown enemy. The quest is to find a powerful gem in the Deep Forest, and then to use what powers it bestowed on them to delve into the Mountain Barrier. There, they will have to find the Light to dispel the growing Darkness within. Though this qest is honorable and righteous, the dangers that await them are exponentially worse than they could ever imagine. Whether they can save the world depends on whether they can survive themselves. Mature rating for blood, gore and depictions of violence. TW: mentions of drunkards and beer, mention of physical abuses, a description of trypophobia, claustrophobia, and other phobias, and descriptions of nasty cryptids. There is no depictions or allusions of sex, no f-bombs, or drug abuse. This story was started when I was in seventh grade. I finished the original when I was a senior in high school. Displeased with the finished product, I began to rewrite it here, starting June 2015, then again in 2020. I am quite satisfied with the result, and am sure this will be the final edition. This isn't the first book of the series, but there's no spoilers for 'The World is Larger than it Seems', so you can start on this one. The story is far from finished, however, and I hope to eventually finish the series.
