Despite the challenges they face, James becomes determined to help Emily break free from her addiction and overcome the trauma of her past. As they navigate the complexities of their relationship, the lines between duty and desire begin to blur, and James must grapple with his own ethical principles as he tries to save Emily's life and win her heart. I suck at writing. This is my first completed book so I apologize. The ending is also a bit rushed but please check it out!

I could feel myself at full attention and was so thankful she was too drunk to notice. She needed me? I needed her so badly right now, but I couldn't do anything. She's too drunk and if I'm going to take her, she's going to remember it, that's for sure. As I battle in my head about what my little brain wants and what my big brain knows, her voice sounds.
