The picturesque island of Shindo - three regions, three ruling Masters and a fight for supremacy. Yoshiko Kansei, a seventeen-year-old inhabitant of the island, must leave her paralyzed grandfather, whom she cares for and who has trained her in martial arts from her earliest years, to fulfill his desire - she is to avenge the harm once done to her family by their region's master, the Red Dragon. And to accomplish this, Yoshi must go to the Master of Void Nature for training. So she embarks on a journey that completely changes her life. Along the way, the girl meets the wounded rebel Shuga, who wants to bring about the overthrow of the currently ruling Shindo Masters, and unexpectedly becomes very important to Yoshiko, as well as to the island. When Yoshiko arrives at the headquarters of the Master of Void Nature, the host turns out not to be who the girl expected. Her previous mission has completely changed its course. And when more Southerners appear on the island, aiming to take over the entire area, nothing is the same anymore. "The Names of Death" is a story primarily about struggle and revenge, but also about love, about physical strength, but also about mental strength. About perseverance and loyalty to principles. And all of this against the backdrop of beautiful yet harsh Japan. An unconventional and incredibly engrossing story!
