After losing his sister, 12-year-old Giyuu Tomioka was devastated. In his flee from the demon that took his sister's life, he meets Sakonji Urokodaki, who takes the terrified child under his wing and trains him to protect himself. Along his training journey, Giyuu meets and falls in love with the similarly-aged Sabito, a fun and loveable soul. Through thick and thin, the two promised to defend each other. But that promise shatters when Sabito dies. Consumed by grief, Giyuu thinks he'll never love again. Sabito watches from the clouds as Giyuu sinks deeper into depression with each day. All Sabito wants is to see his lover happy again, no matter what that'll mean for him. Will he achieve his goal and make his beloved happy again, or is Giyuu destined to be depressed until he dies?
