Matt Smith is a guy who, if he could have been described, would be the typical profile you wouldn't want to be in his spotlight. At 18 years old, with only one friend, and attending Seattle University; he has always seemed oblivious to everyone and focused on keeping himself in check. However, the sudden murder of his childhood best friend and neighbor, Max Denovan, drags him into the pit of the most horrible secrets. Also, at Skyler Denovan's request and driven by his own personal motives, Matt begins to investigate alongside her.
On the other hand, Elliot Rosseau, a young detective known for his success and questionable methods, is called in for a fourth case after his dismissal from the FBI. In it, he finds unexpected competition, making it an amusing obsession for him. The question was "who", but the "why's" will weigh even more heavily.
