A century ago, the Kingdom of Aurellia's heir was lost at sea along with a ship full of palace treasures and the Aurellian crown. According to legend, whoever possesses the crown has a rightful claim to the throne. Even a lowly pirate.

GRAYSON ARCHER, the youngest soldier in the Aurellian Guard, is on duty when his garrison is attacked by the notorious Pirate Nation. CAPTAIN ASHA has come to rescue her cousin from the gallows. A chance meeting results in Asha stealing a gold medallion from Grayson, a family heirloom, which unknown to him is part of a larger map leading to the legendary treasure of the Lost Heir.

Determined to reclaim the medallion, Grayson joins the pirate hunt and catches up to Asha and her crew. Word of the medallion has spread and soon battlelines shift. Travelling across the seas in search of the treasure, encountering creatures of the deep and rival pirate clans, Grayson starts to realise that the Pirate Nation may not be the villains he had always thought, and to him Asha might even be becoming something more. Now with enemies closing in, Grayson must choose where he stands. With the Pirate Nation or the Kingdom of Aurellia?
