Few years back , It's about to dawn. A heavy, relentless rain is pouring down like a downpour of sorrow. Doctors and nurses rush from the ICU, their voices faintly heard in the corridors. He places his hand over hers, his fingers gently tapping in an attempt to comfort her, though his eyes betray the fear and sadness swelling inside him. Hours pass. Eight long hours of intense treatment. Finally, a doctor emerges from the ICU, looking weary, his face filled with disappointment. 'Patient oda appa amma...',he begins, his words hanging heavy in the air. The couple stands up abruptly, their hearts pounding, " En pullaiku onum ilayae...."
