Chloe is a single girl who's mother wants her to get married and get a kid.
Chloe despises marriage and men. She thinks they're a piece of shit and doesn't deserve pretty girls like her. She knows she's pretty.
She soon got a job at an office and apparently, is interested in John. She wants to be with him, but she still hates relationships.
they were interested in each other but they have no intention of dating and get to THAT point, marriage. So they did one-night stands, or possibly a no-strings attached relationship.
But apparently, John is abusive. Whenever Chloe was with him and did something he didn't like, he would break things and sometimes throw his anger out on Chloe, physically.
Chloe regretted her decision. She couldn't just ghost John because she knows he's crazy. So Chloe downloaded a dating app and met Atlas. A guy with amazing emerald eyes and beautiful light-brown hair.
Chloe tells Atlas about John. Atlas was filled with fury, along with sadness. He was heartbroken to find out that Chloe had been abused by some guy and wants to put a stop to it.
When they did try to put a stop to it, it turns out, John was willing to kidnap Chloe and torture her severely in an abandoned house.
