"I see the world and it seems like I see it so differently than most other people. It makes me really angry most of the time. Especially since no one ever listens to me or what I've got to say. I try to express myself in so many different ways and no one sees it. When I sing a song people will only care about how the music sounds or how much I swore. If I paint, people will see the picture but not the meaning. It seems so obvious to me but everyone just seems to... close their eyes. Or at least shut off their brain. As if I see things they don't. Highest Rankings: 115 in first person I was just a simple sophomore. I hung out with my friends, played sports, got straight A's, my life seemed to have everything that I wanted, until I saw her. She was super quiet, she probably went unnoticed a lot, but she's so super pretty, super smart, she had a lot of classes with me, and she even did some of the same after school activities as me, she's so perfect. I realized that she is super social around her friends and she doesn't care what people think of her. Ivy Ashford, a model from France, has been stuck in a terrible relationship for a few years. On one particularly cold morning, Ivy finds herself taking a walk to try and get away from her manipulative boyfriend for a bit, when she suddenly runs into another man. From that day forward, her life changes completely. (Labeled mature for harsh language, fighting, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, etc.) ~~~ **Hot Wire My Heart is a work of fiction. Though the characters in this book bare the names of real people, a lot of the actions are made up for entertainment only. This story should not be used as a biography or used as facts about these characters. I respect all of these people and their lives.** ~~~ The main character, Ivy Ashford, is a made up character. However, her nick name (Poison Ivy) and her looks are based off of the female lead guitarist of The Cramps. I am not basing Ivy Ashford off of the real Poison Ivys life or personality. I just think she is beautiful and her name is really cool so I am using her as inspiration. I respect her and her life as well. The title of this story, Hot Wire My Heart, is the title of one of my favorite songs off the Sonic Youth album "Sister". I would recommend this album to anyone who enjoys alternative rock. If you already knew this song or album, please give me all your information so I can meet you because I already know we will be best friends (I'M KIDDING PLEASE DON'T SEND ME YOUR INFORMATION.) Some more inspo I have for this story is from another story called Fade To Black by _CORNELL_. Their story is amazing and this story is going to be heavily inspired by that. Star is a different type of girl. Ever since she got detached from her divorced, emotionally unavailable parents, she's been filling up her quiet, lonely world with music and dancing. She's practically a musical prodigy at 16 and music can't possibly be taken away from her. The only people she's ever been really close to are her psycho, over enthusiastic bff's. They're the only people she can tolerate anyway. That's until one fateful day when she meets a cocky, narcissistic, though really cute guy at her favourite fro yo shop who gets under her skin for just being himself. She absolutely detests guys like him. Absolutely gorgeous, frustratingly charming, cocky as hell and shockingly talented at music. That's right. Star discovers that this seemingly unbearable guy loves music almost as much as she does and just that single fact makes her heart soften a little so she lets her guard down for just a tiny bit. But after that one moment that she decides to let it down, she realises that she can't get it back up again.
