Katsuki made the sacrifice. He made the sacrifice for people he cussed out, people he threw explosions at, people he hated. He died for the people he silently acknoledged as friends, people he secretly admired, people he privately observed. He protected the classmates that got down to his heart, the classmates who helped him with his redemption, the classmates he'd smile at when he knew they couldn't see.
He swore at himself, he cried to himself, he tore at his face because he didn't make it, he didn't get to number 1, he'd failed and he was angry at himself. But he wouldn't have changed what he'd done, not for anything in the world.
Now he had the chance. The ability to watch over them as they did what he died trying to do. They'd become heroes and he knew who'd make it to that Number 1 spot. Whether his death would slow that down or speed it up, he didn't know. But he was given the fortune to see them as they grew, watch as they did become heroes, as they make it to graduation and then the world ahead.
He will get that option because he'd become a lost soul, and it was his duty to see them through till the end. With a rocky start and a lot of hate, he will come to that conclusion and he'll learn and grow mentally. Even in death.
I tried really hard on that so I hope it's good and sounds worth reading.
