Every year in the villages all across the realm five young girls are chosen to be sacrificed to the malicious Fae that live in a place known as the Dark Forest.

This year, eight year old Wren is one of those chosen. An orphan and outcast in her small village she's never known a parent's love since being abandoned as baby. Then she crosses the border to the Dark Forest and it is their she meets the High Fae of the Ice Court, Lord Glacien Rhys.

Glacien has never wanted children ever since his beloved wife died centuries ago. Cold and unflinching in manner to all, he holds no love for anyone. But when he meets a small human girl named Wren, he can't help but be drawn to her for a reason he can't explain.

Now trying to survive this new world, Wren will need all allies she can get, even if that comes the form of a malicious Fae Prince.
