Carl, a cheerleader, has been having a hard time at school.
The star football player, Ron, has been targeting him with his bullying lately.
But that doesn't stop Carl from having a crush on him.
Ron's mom died when he was born, and now he lives alone with his abusive dad, Pete.
Ron takes out his frustration by bullying his peers. He knows it's wrong, but that's his coping mechanism.
His main target as of late has been Carl.
In all reality, it's because he has a crush on Carl.
But Ron would never admit to anyone or even himself that he's gay.
Once Carl and Ron actually get to know each other when their forced to spend time together, Carl learns Ron is actually a sweet boy.
