"Stop putting yourself in danger you big asshole!" I yelled at him while tears of anger streamed down my face. "If I lose you I'll go fucking crazy, don't you understand!"
"Ter," Daryl sighed, shaking his head at me.
"No Daryl! You have to understand, I can't fucking lose you!" I continued to yell as I pounded my fists against his chest. "You and my kids are all that matter to me," I brought my forehead to his chest taking a breath. "I know I have my brothers, Mitch, and Danny, but none of them matter if I don't have you and my babies."

Carter Ford never had an easy life. With a father often deployed overseas, an overwhelmed stay at home mom, a big sister with an affliction for shitty men, and three younger siblings, Carter often felt the weight of everyone's lives on her shoulders. And with getting entrusted with her sisters' 2 year old twins, Ellie and Jack, at just 20 life didn't seem to be going too well for the Ford girl.
After a while she figured it out... kind of. But shortly after her 28th birthday, when a zombie apocalypse drops at her front door she feels like all hope for a normal life is lost. Luckily with the help of her brothers, his best friend, and her best friend she thinks she can keep her kids safe from the beasts lurking around the corner.

A/N: This is the updated version of FYD <3 Y/n L/n was your average college student before the world went to shit. She lived in Atlanta with her childhood friend, Glenn, and had never once left the city after she had moved there, apart from the occasional visit to see her Mother, whom was hospitalised in another state. However, the end of the world changed that, forcing her to leave the city and wander the highway. Permanently. When the city was overrun, she was separated from Glenn and forced to flee the city, which she hadn't left for years. With no idea where to go or what to do, she simply wandered down the highway. And though she may have been a city kid, she was far from useless. She was used to fighting for her life and she was used to being alone, so to say the very least, she could handle whatever the end of the world threw at her. Equipped with her trusted bow, Lucy, and her fathers vintage revolver, she was ready for anything. Dead or otherwise. A few months after the 'End', Y/n eventually came across a lost little girl, and a group of survivors hurled up on a farm.
