Wishing Upon Freedom

people say if you wish hard enough it will come true. that if you have good intentions your wish will be granted. I have wished the same thing for 17 years of which I have been alive. I wished to be free from this prison where I have never seen the light of day. to be free of this torture that leaves me unable to move for hours on hours after. I wished to feel the cool wind on my face as I run through the forest. I wished to see the rise of the sun and the beautiful moon. I wished to see the stars and feel the rain hit my face. I wished for freedom.
