"I need some time away from here" Pete confessed, he was nervous and he didn't know how to approach this conversation and he didn't know how Vegas would react.
"I feel lost, I don't know..." Pete sighed.
"Do you regret staying here?" Vegas asked. He knew what his lover went through before and after they got together. Was it worth it? Was the love enough to withstand it all?
"I don't but... I feel unsafe here, I feel... everything came back to me" Pete's voice cracked. It wasn't any loud than a faint sough.

He smiled warmly and then started slowly moving closer to Vegas so that their faces were just inches apart before placing a small but tender kiss on the man's anticipating lips. Pete retracted his face slightly by a few centimetres and averted his focus on to Vegas' dusky brown eyes which stared back at him longingly. Please note this is a fanfic based on the characters of Vegas and Pete from Kinnporche. It is just a little idea I had for what would happen if Pete couldn't forgive Vegas betraying him and went on his own journey to find a life away from his past. I wanted to see Pete with someone who would never betray him and would treat him with respect. I also want to see Vegas grow and realize his mistake and come to understand that because of his own selfish pride he will have to either move on from the only person he ever truly loved and trusted or love him from a distance forever. This is a ghostship for Pete an a new OG character if you don't like ghostships please don't read this. Not every story has an happy ending, what if after everything they went through Pete and Vegas were not an endgame ? Pete was a bodyguard, nobody really cared for him, he was used and well, it was easy to just be a shadow, to never really bond with people because nobody could see his darkness. Until he met Him. He felt alive for the first time, he was his true self by his side. He did everything for Him, but he should have know. He was never enough for everybody. Vegas asked him to leave his house, he needed to be true to his heart and he wanted to live with his new lover Porsche. Heartbroken, lonely, sitting in a cafe Pete tries to remember how he was before, when a wall between him and the world was existing. His phone kept ringing, it was the main family, they probably learned what happened to him. He didn't want pity. Pete has a choice. Start over or going back to be a bodyguard, a shadow like nothing happened.Complete
