It had been years since Scarlett Axford had last laid her eyes on Sebastian Sallow, the boy who she had held very close to her heart for as long as she could remember knowing him. After graduating from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, their friendship had become distant.
In the last few years since drifting further apart, by a stroke of serendipity, both Scarlett and Sebastian find themselves in each other's company again, with Sebastian recently accepting the new position of Arithmancy Professor at Hogwarts.
Slowly, and with hesitation, their friendship begins to rekindle when Sebastian arrives at Hogwarts with a shocking discovery. As they spend more time together, they discover that their feelings for each other have developed into something deeper. However, their romance is not without challenges as they both try to overcome the past they have shared, the distance that had been created and the residue of pain left behind.
