Melanie Drayden calls the small, elegant Angels City home. But when a meteor hits the centre of town causing a massive explosion, it leaves numerous dead. It wipes out all electronics, including vehicles and motors. This causes her first expedition at the hospital to be one from Hell. At the same time of the explosion, a teenage boy shows up. Nothing about him is normal, Melanie has never seen him before. He carries a vial around his neck that has a kind of substance in it. He identifies it as the cure. But for what? The people of Angels City have no idea. But this cure will change their city immensely, a little for the better, but a lot for the worse. Melanie sees as her life changes through the danger of this boy, her undying curiosity, and the hearts weakness to love.
