Denki, a seventeen-year-old boy, suffers from one-sided love. Although what he doesn't know is that he has a very rare disease called hanahaki. It's one of the deadliest diseases, once you start coughing up flowers, you won't stop... until death. 

Hanahaki was a terminal disease, if not removed in time. It can be cured through surgical removal, but when the infection is removed, the victim's romantic feelings for their love also disappear, It ends when the beloved returns their feelings (romantic love only, strong friendship is not enough)

Some other symptoms might include chest pains, shortage of breaths and fainting. Methods of treatment and cure are yet to be discovered. Surprisingly, Wen Junhui of Seventeen is rumoured to be diagnosed with the disease and not so surprisingly, the rumours are true. Junhui does indeed cough up the blue primrose petals from time to time, Joshua's favourite kind. They suddenly stop by the time he had started coughing up the individual petals of 3-4 Primroses. Junhui is happy, with himself and his beloved who seems inclined to stay by his side. One unfortunate night and they are back again. Way more vigilant in their stance this time. Will he survive it this time as well?? TW: angst, character death (if you want to put it that way)
