Among the many wonders found in the world known as Thell, perhaps the greatest are the so-called Witch Arms. These twelve legendary weapons have incredible powers, and it is said that those who wield them become great warriors, heroes, and legends themselves. Wherever one is seen, history is made.

And be not mistaken; history is being made.

The remnants of the Empire of Gloria battle each other, caught in an unending war of greed and oppression. As Emperors and their courts live lavishly in their far-away capitals, happily playing their games of intrigue and guile, the once lush farmlands of the south are turned into massive grave pits for soldiers and civilians alike.

The Great Bellator of the Benevolent Church of the Untainted Magic has a crisis of faith and considers laying down his sword for the last time. Consumed by sorrow and regret, this holy warrior begs absolution for the unforgivable sin of saving the world.

And in the Towering Woods, a mentally damaged man from another world arrives, setting off a prophecy that will cause suffering, horror, and change, all of which will ultimately culminate in the death of a god.

Waltz of Steam and Magic by Frank21188
17 parts Ongoing Mature
In a world where steam and magic intertwine, ancient treaties collapse under the pressure of a new order, and two drastically different civilizations collide, shaking the entire continent. On one side, an advanced industrial civilization fueled by the power of steam and machinery; on the other, an ancient kingdom built upon the magical elements and arcane forces of old. As these forces clash, the entire continent is thrown into unprecedented chaos, signaling a transformative era that no one is prepared for. At the heart of this upheaval is a war without smoke, a battle between technology and magic. With the rise of the Steam Revolution, mechanical technology and strange magic intertwine, showcasing endless possibilities. From the blazing heat of bullets to the cold shield of ice, from the precise firing of mechanical arms to the stunning force of magical chants, every moment of battle crackles with tension and energy. This is not just a clash of steel and elements; it is a struggle of intelligence and willpower, where the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Amid this turmoil, a young prince emerges from his homeland's palace, stepping onto a path destined to change the course of history. He is a brave and determined youth, burdened with the weight of his father's legacy and the responsibility to restore his kingdom, which faces both external invasion and internal strife. With his sword in hand and his father's expectations on his shoulders, he embarks on a quest to find answers and uncover the mysteries that lie ahead. However, the war in this world is far more complicated than it appears. The line between magic and machinery, between magic-wielders and engineers, between flying ships and steam-powered trains, is increasingly blurred. In the borderlands far from his kingdom, peaceful villages are destroyed by mechanical beasts, and ancient forests are disturbed by mysterious magical surges.

150 years... That's how long the war has been going on in Equilibria: between the United Federation of Tachyon, a technologically advanced empire, and the Arcane Order of Seirion, a powerful magical empire. This long and unending war of conquest and expansion has led to many suffering in this world, as those who were in between them were squashed underneath the feet of the marching force. Occasionally, some people in this world may obtain resolites, a mysterious white crystal capable of transforming into powerful melee weapons. Although its inner workings and reason for existence are unknown, those with resolites, also known as resolutors, were hunted down by the empires as a key to creating elite warriors enhanced with the power of resolites. One such resolutor was Lorian Ashwood, who had obtained a particularly powerful resolite after his home village, Tragula, was destroyed by a mysterious ray of light coming from the sky, destroying everything in its path, including the soldiers from both empires fighting to capture his village. Nobody, not even the powerful empires, knew who was behind it. Eager to know what happened, Lorian ended up joining an aviator group known as the Strife Striders, and together, they went on a journey across the two empires to seek the truth as they completed a task from the King of Machiaville. In their journey, Lorian got to see the world from different perspectives as he interacted with imperial locals, while fighting against the Imperial forces and authority, who were constantly seeking to capture him for the reason mentioned before. Eventually, his eye-opening and arduous journey would develop him into becoming a resolute and just person, known as a Concordian. __________________________________________ Concordian of the Two Ends is now available on both Wattpad and Royal Road!
