Emile a use to be student of Union academy. I say used to be because he was bullied and ridiculed by those at the academy, due to him having no powers. There was some who didn't care that he was powerless and tried to help him, but they couldn't always help him. He endured this for three years at the academy until he couldn't take it anymore. So, he left and doing so he found something, an old ship that belonged to a certain Galvan that crashed there a long time ago
