Gotham City isn't a safe place for the poor, let alone a child born into a poor family. So, orphans are a common sight in Gotham, and one which won't go away no matter what. Most of these orphans either grow up to be criminals because they have no other choice, die, or by a divine miracle, be adopted into a family that will give them food. This is the story of how one boy grew up to be one of the most feared crime bosses in all of Gotham, all because one man took him under his wing.
