After living full lives filled with both happiness and sorrows, two lifelong friends die in old age and wake up as their younger selves, not in an afterlife, but in a world that they themselves have written about and imagined their entire lives. Now they must adjust to this new reality and fight for the love and respect they seek in a world full of magic, mystery, and danger. This story is a slow, slow burn.
