I lived with my mother most of my life, so it was a huge shock when on my 18th birthday, I got a plane ticket to my a strange father's. With my mother and new stepfather off on some crazy honeymoon I was stuck staying with my dad. I woke up in a teenager's room. Where the hell am I? I look at myself and noticed that my hands were small. As in small! Wtf?! I found a mirror and I decided to take a look of myself.. "HOLY MOTHER OF A COW!" I screamed so loud that even the neighbors of this house can hear. I also noticed my voice! It's a child's voice for f*ck's sake! I suddenly heard the door opening and a man coming in. "Oh,you're awake."

The Neighbour's House
My neighbour's house is normal. There are two stories, stairs, and a tiny porch. A red door, and many windows with pretty crimson shutters. My neighbour's house is normal. The lights are on when they need to be, and off when they don't. The grass is mown, and there are sometimes cars in the driveway. My neighbour's house is normal. Sometimes I can see into some of the rooms. Always when I'm not really trying. The rooms are nice, with a warm colour scheme and polished wooden furniture. There is one room that is entirely white. A bare bulb swings from the ceiling. From the outside, I can see no furniture. The walls are old and stained.. There are no shutters on that window. My neighbour's house is normal. I see them sometimes. They're gone most of the day. We wave when we see each other, coming or going. Those two seem nice. Didn't they used to have a son about my age? My neighbour's house is normal. They turn off their lights about the same time we do. Except in that one room. The lights in the white room stay on late each night. I tried to watch them, once, to see how late they stayed on. I fell asleep. When I woke up, they were already off. My neighbour's house is normal. Sometimes I hear sounds from the house. Almost like muffled screams. Everyone gets night terrors, it's common knowledge that, at night, everything can sound scary. My neighbour's house is normal. Except when it isn't.

He whispers as I felt something sharp on the side of my waist that was piercing the surface of my skin. My heart pounds heavily my breathing became strained causing me to exhale faster and heavier. We stood inside my bedroom feet away from my sleeping husband he pulls me closer to his body moving backwards to the hallway. I could only follow hoping that my life would be spared. Suddenly, we stopped by the edge of the staircase. "You're mine." He whispers in a hoarse tone placing a kiss on my cheek hitting me on the head with the back of the knife. I was seeing double. I was feeling dizzy, everything was spinning. I felt like I was in slow motion groaning at the pain looking down the stairs. That's the last thing I see before I black out.
