Fangs and Claws

The introverted and gentle Teriun grows up in a vampire war camp, where he fights for his life every single day. Speed and strength, neither of which Teriun possesses, are the only qualities his abusive camp leader values. Teriun's life is already precarious, but when it becomes clear that the brown wolf he encounters in the forest is his male mate, his fate is sealed.

Forced to flee at just fifteen years old, a weary Teriun collapses in a bakery, where he is taken care off by its kind owner. Days later, when he awakens, he finds a mysterious woman standing before him with an offer: a place in an orphanage for children with stories as turbulent as his own.

After two years of tentative freedom and fragile peace, the past comes crashing back. Alvan, Teriun's mate, the boy he was forced to abandon, appears on the orphanage's doorstep. Old wounds reopen, tensions rise, and nothing is as it once was. Whether the two boys can rebuild what was lost or succumb to their scars is a question only fate can answer.
