Lillyth is very close with her 8 year old brother, Christopher. Christopher looks up to Lillyth. They get along perfectly and rarely ever fight. Crazy right? Siblings getting alone is hard to find these days.
Christopher sneaks out of bed one night and goes outside. He gets on his bike and rides around the neighborhood. He got struck by lightning while on his way back home.
Lillyth's an insomniac. She knew Christopher was scared of storms so she went to check on him. When she realized he wasn't in the house she immediately got her parents and went out looking for him. The found him on the corner and rushed him to the hospital.
While Christopher is in the hospital Lillyth starts a journal about everything that's going on in life. She plans to give it to him when he wakes up. If he doesn't wake up, she doesn't know what she's going to do. She doesn't want to think about her baby brother dying.

Unravelling
Lily is happy with her life. She has a unique family that she can rely on as well as four great friends who support her - and vice versa. Anita," her angelic voice calls to me. Thunder rumbles in the distance. Her soft, delicate hands caressing my face, sparkling green eyes grounding me from the dark past I wish I could forget. My lungs were burning with the need for air and it was then that I realized I'd been holding it. I take in a gasping breath and recall the first time my eyes met her green eyes. My sister had been lifted off me and my eyes opening had startled her. The first time she touched me gave me strength to hold on.
