To summarize things, F/n Ceiren is a young man who had dreams to be a hero, even though he was powerless. And as expected, he was belittled and bullied by the students of the "famous" Union Academy save for a few sympathetic individuals.
As for him, he *did* initially desire power and attention but he understood how someone like him couldn't get that through his "hopeless ambitions".
"I've wasted my time trying to gain something worthless. From this point forward, I'm gunning for what really matters."

U.A Academy was a school for people with quirks so they can become a hero, until someone brought the school which allows people also with Sacred Gears and Semblances or Ninja Skills and changed the name Into Union Academy.
