Dreamgates is a project that I have been working on for years now. 
An idea that has exploded into many branching concepts that I don't think I've seen anyone put together in a story before. 

It has its ties to the internet based urban legend known as the Backrooms, but takes a mighty big twist on the concept. Simply because 1). I of course want to write an original story, and 2). It has grown beyond simply existing in a world of liminal spaces and has grown as I have grown. 

I have always seen people argue whether or not the Backrooms should have monsters in it. 
Keep the liminality! The psychological horror is where it stands the strongest! 
And I agree to an extent. 

Dreamgates will have both, in balance, but aside from being a horror story- it will be heavily character driven. A sci fi fantasy mystery. A deep look into philosophy and culture and the fate of the universe. 
It will be mind bending. A survival game. A battle royale. 
A hunt. And a show. 
A world full of dark horrors both man and monster. 
A world full of light and hope, seeking a new purpose in life. 
This is Dreamgates in every way and more.

It's Dipper and Mabel's third summer in Gravity Falls, but things don't go as smoothly as their second one. Weirdmaggedon has started all over again ; much worse than before. There are more hench-maniacs, more terror - more deaths. And when Dipper gets taken by Bill, will he finally get some answers? Like, how is Bill alive? Or, why is he creating another Weirdmaggedon? Other Info : Dipper and Mabel are 14, turning 15 (in case you can't do math). There's a two year time skip at one point, so they'll actually be 16, turning 17 for the majority. The twins have grown up, so they don't do as much stupid stuff. And, yes. This is a Billdip. If you don't like, you don't read, ok? Good. Minor cursing : cr*p being worst. Occasional blasphemy. Ok! And Bobby who was put in a coma after a car accident on his birthday, where he will wake up in a hospital in the world of dreams fitted with eerie settings at night. Where he will meet a tall flower robotic clown who will be his mentor. Teaching him and guiding him around the world of Dreamcore. Both will survive and stay alive. Until the very end of their pathway.

The prequel of Welcome to The Backrooms CANNON STORY (My AU) MaKaya had always been interested in the Backrooms, although her friends always called her crazy and weird for believing such a place existed, although she was always prepared to go there. After that, many students wanted to try to find No-clip Zones in the school. It had gotten to the point where students were getting suspended if they tried to No-clip and were caught, this caused an increase in security. But MaKaya was finally ready to prove her friends wrong.
