Diane was born with chakra deficiency , told from birth that he could never become a shinobi so he should give up any dream of becoming one . One day he comes across a person with a similar problem and they tell him their story which motivates him to find a way to become a shinobi without chakra , his answer came from a old sage fox who is first irritated by his presence but soon warms up to him and tells him that he might not have potential as a shinobi using chakra but he could learn to utilizesomething else ...natural energy.

One cold snowy day he finds a little girl around his age , crying and clearly upset . He comforts her and guides her home , eight years later they meet again but as shinobi , Diante didn't expect her to take his words to heart but he was glad . They soon are placed in the same team together and build an unimaginable bond .

Diante was named after the flower Dianthus ,( pronounced (Dian-tè) following the same theme as his sister Sakura "cherry blossom" .
