If you like things such as Overloard, SAO, or Reincarnated as a Slime, then this might be right up your alley. If you like stories where you follow the antagonist, this definitely is up your alley. The first part of this is a condensed version of half the events of how Sky began to gain power. The next part (starting at MC Meets MC) will be the isekai! Of course there's an isekai and will contain the meat of the story for awhile and takes on a new perspective through Lyra. Sky's story returns later (starting at Back To CoM: Sky's Journey Continues). I will eventually rewrite and edit this story and separate it into 2 separate self-contained books. A fantasy based game set in a world full of monsters, diverse NPCs, unique quests, and an ever evolving story that unfolds based on player choices. Anything is possible with the world of CoM. Even character creation and evolution are influenced by subtle choices made by the Player. The stat system is complex with point values that influence every aspect of the character. With the Nerve Gear, a helmet that stimulates the user's five senses via their brain, players can experience and control their in-game characters with their minds. Both the game and the Nerve Gear were created by a South Korean gaming company Nexon. The Real of Fela is home to numerous guilds where wizards apply their magic for paid job requests. 300,000 players log into ROF's mainframe cyberspace for the first time, only to discover that they are unable to log out. The creator of the game says that there is only one way the players can be set free however, the message is hidden in the game. Those who suffer in-game deaths or forcibly remove the Nerve Gear out-of-game will suffer real-life deaths.

These games belong to the genre of games dubbed VR (Virtual Reality). In the year 2060, a college emerges in the north eastern region of Iceland. This is the Global Educational Online Virtual Reality University (GEOVRU for short). It is easily the most expensive college in the world, costing $73, 456 tuition alone, not counting for even room and board. Now, more than eleven years later, a boy named under the alias of Caedes is attending his third year at GEOVRU college. As he thinks over his life and what he wants to do with it, he struggles with his past, and all the loss he has suffered over the past two years.
