(Everything happened just fine in Demon slayer until Rengoku's dead) When Rengoku was about to die, he murmured that he wished Tomioka was right there. Akaza informed Muzan as fastest he could. But Muzan investigated him personally. He saw Tomioka for the first time and so he fell for him.
