Condol Walker was "unstable" as they called it. So she was put on a totally healthy dose of medication that left her in a haze until the effects wore off, and for some reason, whenever it did she was taking a test. A test that more often than not got 100%. No matter, because when she is kidnapped and turned into something entirely different, she doesn't have to worry about tests or the haze!
I do not own the "Upon Wings of Change" world, universe, the plot, characters or anything of the sort, Crystal Scherer does. I only own Condol and her story, as well as this particular au. Enjoy, reader. And for you, @CrystalScherer
The times are pretty jumbled up, but I'll make it work because, well, this is my fanfiction and I do what I want with it. (I'll probably fix it when/if I finish this tho). There is violence and stuff, but no real explicit scenes

And, if it works, a small percentage of the time, the subjects are let loose, given a certain freedom they had never experienced. And that's what I had now. Freedom. After around ten years of making sure my neural system was intact, the metal surrounding me grew with my body and the batteries didn't poison my immune system, I was given the option of getting out of CARESS, also known as Centre of Adolescents in Rehab after the Effect of Scientific Surgery, and live a normal life. Well, as normal as it could get for a teenage girl with giant metal wings stuck behind her back. ~~~~~~~~ "You remind me of Maleficent... But with blue wings... And definitely more badass." "Who?" No one ever said what would happen when dragons and aliens meet. And no one told me that I would be in the middle of it. Tasha was studying hard to get through her last year of university when she was kidnapped. She certainly didn't expect to wake up with four feet and wings. Mad scientists are bad enough, but things get even more complicated when aliens appear and wipe out the human race. I dedicate this story as a gift to her and all her readers!* Aspen wasn't the only one to be kidnapped and turned into a dragonet, but she WAS the only one who had a something to hide, outside of their human intelligence. Armed with nothing but the wings on her back and the claws on her feet, Aspen did her best just to survive her new environment. But just as she was starting to get used to her surroundings and her newly acquired skills, the rug is pulled out from underneath her once again. Now with the looming threat of aliens, aliens, and more aliens, Aspen has even more piled onto her already overflowing plate. Sneak peak: It wasn't fair. And knowing that unfairness was just part of life, didn't make me feel any better. Life had dealt us a hand of rotting lemons and all I wanted to do was throw them and make life take them back.
