Years have passed since the old king was assassinated by ones he once trusted. Trust doesn't exist in this world anymore, the whole meaning of it broken and destroyed. It only ends in betrayal. Since that day, a woman of the East calls herself the new Queen and takes control, seeking to bring the kingdom together by bringing about the destruction of creatures she deems a threat.
Hybrids are hunted down, captured and killed in masses. The ones that remain are distanced from the reaches of the Queen by the magic of Ior, the one who sacrificed himself to save others. This magic brings about a tense tranquillity for those lucky to survive.
But the Queen's reach can reach even the most calm of places to wreak havoc. There are rumours of a way to avoid death, a magical secret lost with time. The journey alone to get it is impossible to do alone but with trust as it is, someone is bound to get hurt.
But who?
And at what cost will it stop?

Hey. This is a rewrite of a book I first made in 2021. Now 2 years on and I have (hopefully) improved my writing style and its a bit better than last time. The plot will be very different and some characters will be different but hopefully not by a massive amount.
