If tonight came tomorrow
By james a. galgano

If there were something beside man made gods upon which we cling to reply
For answers never given no matter how long we wait for descending star from sky
Where above each passing say no matter how far apart it seems we forever be
There will forever be these endless cherished words unspoken to avoid calamity.
One impatiently awaits each passing moment like an ever-present shadow's moon
Left too soon for one's own liking without a reply one hoped to hear like fallen rain.
To quench endless thirst caught in tireless verse for which without you no refrain.
Upon desirous lips such alluring sacrament one longs to daily taste for salvation
Such is the life one is now confined to lost alone without remedy soon in sight.
One is forever left with what words might have been spoken to capture you tonight.
