Malfunction (Saving Grace Book 1)

Seventeen-year-old Danielle Dimond has spent her life defying authority. She skips school to work out, stays out past curfew, and tunes out when President Gaven gives her orders. Two minutes with the machine tell Danielle about the sibling she’s never known. She has a twin sister named Grace who happens to live in Neo Portland, the rebels’ next destination. Deciding to trust them, she joins them on a cross-country journey to find her sister and the truth.

In Neo Portland, Grace has been raised by robots. They’ve taught her to be unemotional, to think before acting, and to be the perfect, robot daughter. But Grace knows she doesn’t belong.

After being attacked by a robot in rebel territory, she turns her time and attention to helping her “uncle,” Vice President Kline, take down the faction, hoping to be safer under his watch.

But Grace doesn’t know about Kline’s plans to eradicate humanity. She doesn’t know about the cities he’s burning to the ground or the sister he’s hiding from her.

Danielle wants to find her sister. Grace wants to find the rebels. When they finally find each other, they’ll either save Neo America, or destroy it.
