Charlotte is unaware that a piece of her memory has gone missing. Living her new life in a small town in Virginia she meets Lucas. He knows what she doesn't. He's the key she needs. As their "friendship" deepens, Charlotte begins having vivid dreams. She will soon come to find out the truth about herself and Lucas.

A small boy stands in front of me, dragging me by the arm while screaming out.
"Charlotte, please."
I hear ringing in my ears and look around again. I'm outside now. The boy is lying next to me, unmoving.
I look down and see the skin on his leg is burnt.
Screaming and sirens sound from every direction. My body aches when I try reaching out to the boy. I tap him.
His eyes open slowly, brown eyes are staring back at me. Lucas?

I walk out my dorm building to the cafe. Just as I'm about to open the door I hear a person call out my name. I turn around to see the person jogging towards me. Hey that person kind of looks like Jase. Wait a minute... That is Jase. "Jase?!" I ask. "What the hell is wrong with you? Why would you just leave and not tell anyone?! I didn't know what to do, his arms were more than inviting and I really didn't need a lot of convincing but I was starting to get tired of this secret thing again.
