Charlotte is unaware that a piece of her memory has gone missing. Living her new life in a small town in Virginia she meets Lucas. He knows what she doesn't. He's the key she needs. As their "friendship" deepens, Charlotte begins having vivid dreams. She will soon come to find out the truth about herself and Lucas.

A small boy stands in front of me, dragging me by the arm while screaming out.
"Charlotte, please."
I hear ringing in my ears and look around again. I'm outside now. The boy is lying next to me, unmoving.
I look down and see the skin on his leg is burnt.
Screaming and sirens sound from every direction. My body aches when I try reaching out to the boy. I tap him.
His eyes open slowly, brown eyes are staring back at me. Lucas?

CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. I walk out my dorm building to the cafe. Just as I'm about to open the door I hear a person call out my name. I turn around to see the person jogging towards me. Hey that person kind of looks like Jase. Wait a minute... That is Jase. "Jase?!" I ask. "What the hell is wrong with you? Why would you just leave and not tell anyone?!
