"Listen, Mari, I don't want you to ever go outside okay? It's not safe for you out there," I began, "but I especially don't want you to go anywhere near the village,"
"Why not?" Mari asked, tilting her head in confusion.
"The people in the village are not very kind to little girls like you okay?"
"Except you?" Mari questioned holding her brown stuffed teddy bear which her mother made her when she was a baby.
"Except me, so..can you promise me?" I asked, holding out my pinky finger to make a pinky promise.
"Promise," Mari responded happily as she wrapped her small pinky around mine.

In order to get to the town you were going to be staying in, you had to cut through a forest that's supposedly cursed by a witch. As misfortune would have it, your way out of the forest was blocked by a tree. It was then a servant at a nearby estate offered refuge for the meantime, stating that the master was more than happy to offer his home to anyone in need. However, there's something sinister that is haunting the two of you and will stop at nothing to get what it wants.Complete
The stranger under the willow tree
On a frigid and blustery October evening, the radiant moon cast its glow upon a solitary willow tree, perched atop a hill. Beneath the tree sat a mysterious man, clutching a large, worn storybook. Suddenly, his gaze was drawn to a child, no more than 10 to 13 years old, wandering aimlessly nearby. With a welcoming gesture, the man motioned the child over to him. "Why are you out here all alone on such a freezing night?" he inquired with concern. The child merely shrugged in response. The man sighed and reached out his hand, offering it to the shivering youngster. Without hesitation, the little boy took hold of the man's hand and they made their way over to the willow tree where a cozy fire was already burning. "Here you are, little one," the man said gently. "Let's get you nice and warm." Seated by the fire, the child's eyes were drawn to the book resting against the tree. With a pointed finger, he indicated his desire for a story. The man smiled kindly. "Well then, let's dive into some tales, shall we?"Complete
