Meanwhile there seems to be a new organization of poachers forming in the Highlands and Poppy Sweeting is trying to get to the bottom of it, but family ties could make it a lot more dangerous and difficult for her than expected.

Ominis Gaunt keeps receiving letters from his father and Anne Sallows condition seems to improve a little bit.

While there are some crushes confused and slow burning relationships typical for adolescence our protagonists have quite a bit on their plate so this is first and foremost and action adventure. But after the falling out 5th year and after all the betrayal, Ominis hasn't spoken to Eloise since the end of 5th year. After over a year of not hearing from any of her friends Eloise is terrified to face everyone who she feels she has wronged.
