Being a Nanny was always the job Kenzie wanted ever since she could remember. Other people always thought it was weird, especially the fact that she had to rely on people she didn't even know to give her a place to live. But to her it wasn't such a weird concept.

Most of the families that she worked for were amazing, but it was time to move on. The family she was currently working for were moving away from Utah and moving away from home was one thing she promised herself she wouldn't do, not matter how much she loved her current placement.

After weeks of searching for a new job and crashing at her friend Natalia's house, she was just starting to give up hope when a very well paying job came up for one of the music industry's biggest artists. But, right from the start she realized this wasn't going to be like all the others. Not just because her demands would be greater, but not everyone was as nice as before which at the time seemed horrible but only ended up giving her the best life she could ever imagine.

Thousands of centuries ago humans, vampires, and werewolves lived together in harmony, considering one equal to the other. Ruled by a council of three kings, with one from each fullblood race, peace endured for quite some time. All of it was destroyed when many years later the new vampire and werewolf kings both wanted to rule over the kingdom alone. A massive war broke out between the vampires and the werewolves and millions of lives were lost. In a last attempt to stop the war one hundred years later, the land was divided into three kingdoms, the vampires, humans and werewolves. The borders were shut, crossbreeding was forbidden since it created halfbloods and demons and each kingdom was led by the king of their respective race. In secret, however, it was decided that the human king would watch over them all to prevent another war from ever happening again. Since the human kingdom laid inbetween the other two, the humans invented technology to keep all the races at bay and trained the warriors of their army as skilled hunters. As time and generations went by, the kingdoms became more isolated and the common humans forgot that supernatural beings even existed. However, the war had never truly been resolved so the hatred that the vampires and werewolves had for each other endured. When a mysterious murder occurs, chaos breaks out within the kingdoms. A throne must be taken, blood must be shed, a choice must be made and all must be answered by a girl with purple eyes.
