Stan(16 in this fic) has to overcome his drinking problem  along with his mental health and the abuse he undergoes to his sister and the intolerant and oblivious behavior from his parents. 

Kyle and Stan began to drift apart due to Stan's overwhelming "everything is shitty" attitude and lack of communication ever since Stan told Kyle and regrettably eric as well about his issues with his family and they made fun of him in the 4th grade.
